Weather Advisory
In view of the prediction by Indian Metrological Department, for widespread rain/snow fall, likely to take place across Kashmir Valley w.e.f 5th to 8th November 2022, which may cause accumulation of snow/water logging/snow avalanches/landslides, the people of the district in general and those residing in the areas like Keran, Karnah, Machil, Budnamal, Jumugund, Nowgam, Kumkadi and those living on the periphery of different nallahs/rivers that are prone to floods, sloppy areas of the district are advised to refrain from venturing in avalanche prone areas till the improvement of weather. Further, the general public is also advised to avoid travelling to the areas like Keran, Karnah, Machil, Budnamal, Jumugund, Nowgam, Kumkadi etc. without proper information on weather system and in case of accumulation of snow on the roads.
