According to a report, the name of Big Bazaar outlet will be changed in the coming days.
Reliance Retail takes over retail business of Future Group
Future Group’s retail business is now controlled by Reliance Retail. The company is all set to launch its new retail store brand Smart Bazaar in place of Future Group’s Big Bazaar outlet. Retail units of Reliance Industries are working on opening their stores in around 950 properties.
According to the report, Reliance Retail plans to open at least 100 stores in these locations, including a few Smart Bazaar stores. However, neither Reliance nor Future Group has commented on the matter so far.
Recently, the Reliance Industries retailer has sent a notice to Future Retail to maintain its dominance in the Indian retail market. This is to end the sub-lease of 950 stores, which they had already taken over.
