Jammu: Police today announced that they had captured an absconding Special Police Official (SPO) of the Jammu and Kashmir Police who is suspected of murdering his wife who was pregnant in Billawar in the Kathua district.
Police sources claimed they believed that Mohan Lal, SPO posted in DPL Kathua, son of Puran Chand, who lives in Dharalta located in Billawar was in the process of evading arrest after he was accused of brutally killing his wife, Asha Sharma who was 27 years old with a sharp-edged weapon on Tuesday.
After the murder, protests began in the area and protesters set the home of the suspect on fire.
